China New Media Development Zone
The development zone highlights new media, the film and television industry, digital publication, creative design and e-commerce industries, covering about 10 square kilometers.
Approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology on Dec 31, 2005, the development zone is one of the first group of cultural creative industry clusters authenticated in Beijing. It was absorbed in the planning of Zhongguancun national-level self-innovation demonstration parks.

It has formed an industry pattern of “one district with four industry parks”. The district is the north division of the development zone, which will be made a digital high-tech industry park featuring cultural creative industry, modern service and manufacturing industries. The four parks are the Star Park for television program, the North Putuo Film and Television Park for location shooting, the Multnovo Park for incubation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the Beijing Extreme Sports Park for different levels of extreme sports.
