As a CCTV-fully-invested State-owned enterprise, China International Television Corporation (CITVC) is involved in nine kinds of businesses, namely, contents production and issue, new media, integrated broadcasting, advertising marketing, technical services, market investigation, tourism, foreign business and Taiwan business.

The CITVC was set up in 1984 and restructured in 1997. So far, it has jurisdiction over 14 wholly-owned, holding, sharing and custody companies, and 89 companies through consolidated financial statements. With wholly-owned subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and Africa, the company has more than 19,000 employees worldwide.
With an annual revenue growth rate of nearly 20 percent, the company boasts total assets and an annual business volume both surpassing 10 billion yuan ($1.54 billion) due to its diversified management system, and the strategy and reform of the CCTV.
