Beijing Miyun Wtown Tourist Resort

The Beijing Wtown Tourist Resort integrates sightseeing, vacation leisure, business conventions and exhibitions with creative culture, making it a comprehensive tourist destination. Based on the historical relics of the Simatai section of the Great Wall, the tourist resort, which covers 9 square kilometers, is divided into six themed areas and three scenic valleys. Apart from natural beauty, streetscapes of the Republic of China (1912-1949), an ancient village and folk customs are also accessible for visitors.

The Simatai section of the Great Wall

Located in Miyun county in Beijing, the tourist resort boasts 450,000-sq-m of architectural structures from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, and the Republic of China period. Eight boutique hotels, about 400 guest houses, restaurants and shops, and completed auxiliary facilities have been set up in the resort.

The resort ran trial operations from January 2014 and received nearly 1 million visitors within the first year, with total revenue of 200 million yuan ($30.88 million).
