China and Mexico to enhance exchange and cooperation between design industries

During the Beijing Cultural and Creative Week, Chinese and Mexican cultural enterprises exchanged ideas about cultural and creative design through industry promotion conferences and exchange activities.

Beijing International Design Week and Mexico Design Week signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote the cultural industry during the event. They agreed to construct a design capital, improve international creative city network construction, and strengthen opportunities for design week guest-city interaction.

In terms of academic exchanges, they agreed that following the warm reception given the theme exhibition “Chinese Design, Culture and Life Experience” in Mexico, three more design theme forums will be held in Mexico City. The authorities from the Chinese and Mexican cultural and creative fields went on to share their favored cultural and creative design ideas.

In terms of business cooperation, the exhibitor Beijing Longcheng International Cultural Development company conducted market research through corporate counterpart exchanges, and successfully arranged cooperation with Mexican artists such as Angel Fabián and Enrique Rosas. Exhibitor Beijing Lianzhu Cultural and Creative company displayed the original brand “First Day·ONEVER” at the industry negotiation promotion conference, showing how traditional Chinese craftsmanship is embedded in contemporary design, and how to create a new style of Chinese aesthetics. The brand won praise from local professionals in Mexico. The company and several local international consulting companies executed agreements of intent to develop Chinese-style aesthetic products in overseas markets.
