Beijing’s creative industries worth $123b in H1

Beijing’s creative industries were worth 850 billion yuan ($123.46 billion) during the first half of this year, according to representatives at the 2018 Global Cultural & Creative Industry Partner Conference (GCPC), held in the city from Sept 11 to 14.
The figure represents an increase of 16.6 percent year on year, and is the highest ever recorded for the city.
The creative industries include industries producing products such as tv programs, movies and works of art.
The 2018 GCPC was guided by SOCASAO. With a focus on animation and entertainment, the conference aims to explore cooperation opportunities between Chinese and foreign markets.
