As a key part of Beijing Week, the "Night of Beijing" gala event and concert is staged at the National Theatre in Tokyo on the night of June 6. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the sister-city relations between Beijing and Tokyo.  Beijing Week, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, aimed to actively interact with local citizens during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday (on June 7-9) in Tokyo -- to allow locals to appreciate the charms of Chinese and Beijing culture and learn about the current social development of China.
