A promotional conference for Beijing cultural creative industries was held in Tokyo, Japan on June 9 as part of Beijing Week (an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city relations between Beijing and Tokyo).

To open the event, Dong Dianyi, deputy director general of the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality (SOCASAO), gave a speech introducing Beijing's cultural and creative industries.

A total of six cultural enterprises from Beijing held presentations and promotions at the conference, and over 100 representatives from 30 Japanese cultural institutions, enterprises, and industries participated in the conference.

After the meeting, representatives from the participating Chinese and Japanese companies mingled with each other. Many Japanese companies expressed a desire to cooperate with Beijing cultural enterprises in film and television, animation, design, and performing arts.
