A meeting was held in Sao Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil, on June 24 to discuss strengthening pragmatic and win-win cooperation between cultural enterprises from Beijing and Sao Paulo.
Sponsored by the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality (SOCASAO), the meeting is an important part of the Brazilian Chinese culture event Experiencing Beijing.
Representatives of cultural enterprises from Beijing introduced their respective companies at the conference, as did many local cultural enterprises in Brazil.
A number of Beijing and Brazilian companies have signed strategic exchange agreements related to screenings of outstanding Chinese and Brazilian films, exhibitions and transactions of artworks, books on traditional Chinese culture, Beijing culture, children, literature, digital publishing for books and trading copyrights for books.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. The event is expected to strengthen cultural exchanges between Beijing and Sao Paulo, teach Brazilian people about Chinese culture, and promote cultural cooperation between the two cities.
The event is also expected to promote the two parties' strengths in the fields of education, science and technology, culture, design, sports, and tourism, establish a new mechanism for exchanges and cooperation, share development opportunities, and propel the cultural development of the two cities.
