The National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the "Ice Ribbon", for Beijing 2022 Olympics was completed in December. As the only newly built ice sports venue in the competition zone for the Games, it covers an area of about 80,000 square meters and can accommodate about 12,000 spectators. During the Winter Olympics, it will host the speed skating competitions.

The roof of the National Speed Skating Oval for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is under construction in 2019. The sleek long-track speed skating venue has been dubbed the 'Ice Ribbon' for the 22 light ribbons surrounding its exterior. [China Daily]
