The 2021 Beijing Design Week theme exhibition opened at the China Millennium Monument Art Museum on Oct 1. The exhibition is titled "Concept, Practice and Innovation-National Image Art Design Achievement Invitational Exhibition". Through nearly 50 exhibits and more than 100 pictures, it demonstrates to the public the great importance of design power in establishing the national image.

Sponsored by the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the "Art and Olympics Fusion, Physical and Aesthetic Education-China Olympic Art and Design Exhibition" was launched at the same time.

The Beijing Design Awards ceremony was also held at the opening event. Zhao Enguo, deputy director of the State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center (SOCAAC) of Beijing Municipality, unveiled the nameplate of the 2020 Classic Design Award winning project "The Main Vision System of the 29th Olympic Games".
