Wtown set to provide a festival treat

Beijing Wtown is rolling out cultural experiences, interactive games as well as culinary and visual delights for visitors during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 22 to 24.
Traditional Chinese-style clothing hanfu, historical stage operas themed on Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet of the Warring States Period (475-221 BC) whom the festival will commemorate, are all part of the exciting package that will immerse visitors in the traditional festival culture.

Moreover, dragon boat races and lion dancing will be held to celebrate the festival. The festival specialty zongzi (glutinous rice dumplings) will be made and consumed, makeup will be applied to foreheads to ward off evil spirits and other folk and fun activities will spice up visitor experience.
